1. high lumination efficiency.
There is a great improvement in LED lumination efficacy with the technicology improvement of past several ten years. Lumination efficacy of incandescent bulb and lumination efficacy of tungsten halogen lamp are 12-24lu/w, Lumination efficacy of fluorescent lamp is 50-70lu/w. Lumination efficacy of sodium lamp is 90-140lu/w. Their most power consume which causes waste of heat. After the improvement, Lumination efficacy of LED is up to 50-200lu/w. Moreover, monochromaticity of its light is good and spectrum of its light is narrow. It can emit visible colored light without filtration. Now many countries in the world are expediting the research of improvement of the LED lumination efficacy. There will be a greater improvement in LED efficacy in the nearly future.
2. low power consumption
The power of LED single pipe is 0.03-0.06w. LED is driven by direct current . Driving voltage of single pipe is 1.5-3.5v. Electric current is 15-18A. Its reaction is quick .It can operate under high frequency. Under the similar lighting effect, LED power consumption is 1/8 of incandescent bulb, 1/2 of fluorescent lamp tube. Japan estimates that if LED, the efficacy of which is 2 times higher than fluorescent lamp, are used to substitute one half of Japanese incandescent lamps and the fluorescent lamps, 6,000,000,000 liters of crude oils can be economized every year. For example, if there is a comparison between the daylight lamp and LED when they are used to be the light of bridge guardrail With the same effect, power of one daylight lamp is more than 40w, whereas power of one LED is only 8w and many colorful changes can be produced.
3.long service life
There are many shortcomings as fusing filament easily, hot deposition, fading light and so on when radiation of electron light field is used to emit light. Whereas volume of LED light is small and its weight is light. LED is encapsulated in epoxy resin so it can withstand impact and vibration of high strength machine. The average service life amounts to 100,000 hours. The service life of LED light is up to 5-10 years, so the maintenance cost can be cut greatly and the toil of changing light frequently can be avoided.
4.high security and reliability
The heat that LED remits is low. There is no heat radiation. LED is cold light. It can be touch safely. It can control the shape and angle of light accurately. Its light is gentle and doesn¡¯t dazzle people. It doesn¡¯t contain the materials that may be nocuous such as ashydrargyrum and sodium. Micro processing system set inside can control the intensity of light, adjust the way of luminescence and carry out the combination of light and art.
5.environmental-friendliness
LED is the solid luminophor. It can withstand shock and not be easy to break .It can also be recycled and do not have pollution. The light is small and can be assembled freely. It is easy to exploit LED to be portable, pint-sized illuminating product. It is also easy to be installed and maintained.
Energy saving is certainly the most important reason for us to entertain using LED light. Maybe LED light is more expensive than the traditional light, but the investment in light can be taken back through energy saving in one year, thus every year several times of net income from saving energy can be obtained from fourth to ninth year.
